Mandate:

To ensure effective implementation of HIV/AIDS activities in Uganda and in particular among the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), refugee camps, special programs like Karamoja, Northern Uganda and Luwero Triangle rehabilitation programs. An HIV/AIDS Committee was set up with the overall responsibility of overseeing the implementation of HIV/AIDS activities in the Ministry. This Committee liases with IDP camp commandants, district disaster management committees, Members of Parliament and NGOs in affected areas for implementation of activities
