The Uganda Women's Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO)

Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans - UWESO is an indigenous non-governmental organisation registered with the NGO Board. UWESO is an interdenominational, and non-political development agency concerned with the improvement of lives of destitute and needy children affected by the demise of their parents and or guardians.

UWESO started its work by coming to the rescue of children who were left parentless in the war-torn areas through relief supplies such as food, clothing, shelter and medical care. With time, focus was widened to include direct welfare to these needy orphans especially through provision of basic needs and school fees.
