>>>Joint AIDS Annual Review (JAR)
Members to the 2004 Partnership Forum agreed to the proposal to conduct annual HIV/AIDS reviews response. Owing to the multisectoral nature of the response, such reviews involve many sectors and stakeholders to obtain a total picture of what has been done and the gaps hence the Joint Review.
The JAR 2005 was conceptualized to capture progress against a set of undertakings agreed to in the 2004 Forum but also involved other activities including the Self assessment of Self-Coordinating Entities (SCEs), compilation of government Ministries issue papers, compiling the UNGASS report and a review of HIV/AIDS funding mechanisms in the country.
Initial JAR 2005 findings were further discussed in a national stakeholder technical workshop for validation and further input. The workshop also served as a consensus Forum for the UNGASS report.
This page presents the JAR 2005 findings that will initially disseminated during the 2005 Partnership Forum to be held in January 2006.
